The Pandemic Can't Stop SLC's Housing Market

Writer: Jeff JorgensenJeff Jorgensen

Updated: May 27, 2020

The Wasatch Mountain Region saw a decrease in housing market supply in March and April when compared with 2019, which is a national pattern according to Redfin. This decrease adds to the housing shortage we were already experiencing pre-COVID 19.

Home values have continued increasing in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Davis County. In our latest study, we found that homes in these counties appreciated 2% from March to April.

Demand is high in these counties, with homes selling in less than a month of being on the market. It looks like a great time to list your home!

I worked with them as the appraisal coordinator for my lending institution for three years and they are great to work with. Not a corporation but a family owned business which is nice and always willing to explain anything I had questions about.

Our law firm, Heideman & Associates, hired Jeff Jorgensen to work as an expert witness on a construction defect matter. Jeff was very professional, quick to respond to our inquiry and communications, and did an excellent job for our case. We wouldn't hesitate to use Jeff for future expert needs and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, professional appraiser!
